Vero Beach Museum Of Art Reviews

Below is a list of Vero Beach Museum Of Art Reviews:

  • We visited the Vero Beach Museum of Art today. The landscape painting exhibit from New York was amazing. Not so much the modern art. The sculpture garden was nice to walk around. We found out that admission is free on the last Saturday of the month. Masks are required, social distancing is enforced through the entire museum, Temperature is taken upon entry. Well worth a visit.
  • We are visiting this museum every year we go down to Florida during the winter. Easy place to find. Large parking. Nice little restaurant with healty lunch. Exhibits are always of the most interest. We love to get back again and again. Nice small gifts to find at museum store.
  • I suspect this is a very worthwhile addition to the local community. For a visitor, the sculpture garden is nice, but inside very much depends on what’s on display. Covid played heck with curating, and at the moment it’s a collection of grandma’s attic, albeit with nicer stuff than I’ve got up there. It is … disjointed. There’s a light box display which is interesting, but once the trick is done, the variations are just .. variations. Though the train track is really cool. Some iconic pieces, some oddly stuck here and there (a couple of Glackens from his ‘Renoir’ period, for example). It’s an interesting stop from the local surrounding area, just not necessarily a destination in and of itself. 3.5, but not a 4.0.
  • When we walked in we were greeted so warmly and asked if we would like to join the docent tour which we did. You sure don’t receive such welcoming from the museums in the Connecticut area. Must be the warmth of environment. The docent was excellent and you always learn so much from them when they are good. visiting a museum is like choosing a perfume, you can’t take too, too much in because you can get overwhelmed. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
